The honest answer on bitrate
Our converter encodes MP3 at 192 kbps. YouTube does not publish audio above about 160 kbps (AAC 128 kbps or Opus around 160 kbps), so a 320kbps file would be the same audio stored in a larger file. We would rather give you the quality that is really in the source than a bigger file that sounds no better.
When 320kbps would matter
A 320kbps MP3 makes a difference when the source audio itself is 320kbps or higher, such as a studio master or a lossless file. YouTube usually does not serve that, so for YouTube downloads the bitrate you get is set by YouTube's upload, not by the converter.

Quality checklist
- Want the best audio YouTube has? Choose Audio, not Video. The audio stream is already the highest quality YouTube publishes.
- Need a file that plays everywhere? MP3 works on phones, computers, car stereos and media players.
- Making a large video file? Choose the MP4 tool instead.
Limits
- Files up to 500 MB.
- Live streams: a 30-second clip is saved.
- Files are deleted from our server after 1 hour.
